Local Organizations We Support

The following is a sample of local organizations Medtronic supports near Louisville, CO:

  • The Angel Adventure Walk - a 5K fundraising walk and community day to support brain tumor research and patient services at the National Brain Tumor Foundation.
  • Christopher Reeve Foundation - dedicated to funding research that develops treatment and cures for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury and other central nervous system disorders.
  • Inner City Health - a private, non-profit, volunteer-based health care facility committed to improving the health of low-income and uninsured families.
  • Intercambio de Comunidades - a nonprofit organization building bridges of understanding across cultures through affordable and flexible English classes, community resource workshops, and intercultural social events.
  • MS 150 Bike Tour - participants ride 150 miles over two days to raise money to end the devastating effects of MS.
  • Project Pave - an organization that provides prevention, detection and intervention services for children and youth affected by relationship violence.
  • ThinkFirst Foundation - a national brain and spinal cord injury prevention foundation.
  • Whiz Kid Tutoring - a program built to fight illiteracy and help children who are struggling academically and socially.

Medtronic a Recipient of the Medical Design Excellence Awards

The LandmarX® Element image-guided system by Medtronic has been selected as a winner in the 2007 Medical Design Excellence Awards (MDEA) competition – the premier awards program for the medical technology community. Presentation of the 2007 MDEA awards will take place June 13 in a ceremony at the Medical Design & Manufacturing East 2007 Conference and Exposition in New York City.
